I recently moved into The Devon and have been highly impressed. Having lived in other luxury apartment buildings in the D.C. area, The Devon has ranked number #1 so far. Kenya was my leasing agent and she truly went above and beyond to give me a thorough tour and answer all of my questions. She was knowledgeable, patient and very responsive during my entire moving process. I was looking to move in quickly and I toured on a Monday and was moving in by that following Friday. The process went quickly and smooth. The leasing staff as a whole as well as the managers Taylor and Ruvette have been nothing but wonderful and accommodating.

The apartment complex itself is absolutely beautiful. The units are spacious and let in a ton of natural light. The interior design in the common spaces is gorgeous down to every detail.

I have very high expectations when it comes to where I live and so far they have all been met!

I recently move into The Devon, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. Moving from NY without seeing the apartment in person was a risk, but I am impressed. The apartment is exactly what me and my partner were hoping for and more.

The amenities here are absolutely amazing. Everything is well-maintained, modern and truly enhances the living experiences. The staff is amazing --especially Taylor! She has gone above and beyond to make the transition smooth and enjoyable.

Ruvette Rattler-Miller, the Community Manager, exemplifies professionalism, administration, sales, and hospitality. A few family members and I were interested in the Devon and first visited the property earlier this year. Although I had not yet submitted an application, Devon kept in touch, inviting me to all community events and ensuring I felt welcomed as a potential future tenant.

During our initial visit in January, Ruvette Rattler-Miller noticed my group and made herself available for a conversation after our tour with the leasing staff. Her hands-on approach demonstrated that she genuinely cares about providing the best possible living experience. Ruvette's consistent top-level service is impressive and difficult to maintain unless it is authentic.

There is no issue Ruvette cannot resolve, and she does so while treating residents with the utmost respect and dignity. For example, when I encountered a minor issue with my lease agreement, she quickly addressed it and made sure I was satisfied.

The property itself is beautiful and speaks for itself, but it’s the exceptional service and staff that truly differentiate the Devon in Hyattsville from its competitors, establishing it as the gold standard in the area. I have lived at other properties nearby, and the negative reviews about them are valid. I know that some leasing offices close to the Devon even ask friends, who have no real connection to their properties, to leave positive Google reviews to counteract the negative feedback they receive; despite these efforts, they still fall short. These communities have been established for years and have had ample time to address their issues, yet they remain unresolved.

The Devon, on the other hand, is a brand-new property, just a few months old. I expect any new development to be working out any initial challenges related to access, staffing, or general standard operating procedures, and under Ruvette's leadership, those problems have been addressed! Give the Devon a chance to serve you, and if you’re a bit OCD like I am, there’s an added bonus: you’ll likely be the first tenant to ever live in the unit or use the toilet if you move in quickly.

If you are considering touring another property, I recommend reading the online reviews, but make sure to tour the Devon before making any decisions. I feel safe living at the Devon, and I'm confident you will too. I will continue to recommend the Devon to co-workers, family and friends, and I encourage you, the reader, to consider leasing at the Devon as well.

Kenya, Shawna, Ruvette, and Taylor the best property managers in the business. I mean that seriously. Their hospitality has been unmatched. I’ve been trying figure out where to live and these ladies have made this a delight. Seriously, the apartment is gorgeous and the hospitality makes me very excited to move in. I’m looking forward to next month! Can’t come any faster.

Long story short don’t stress yourself renting at this complex.

If I ever write a Google review, it’s either because the service was beyond exceptional or completely unacceptable. Unfortunately, this was by far the WORST experience I have ever had with any apartment leasing process. Notifying someone on the day of their anticipated move-in that there are issues with their application—issues that should have been addressed long before—is completely unacceptable.

Leasing Agent Leo Stevenson is in serious need of training. I don’t say this to be harsh, but because his lack of knowledge and inability to communicate made this process unnecessarily stressful. He consistently failed to respond to emails unless upper management was CC’d and provided incorrect information multiple times throughout my application process—so many errors that I lost count. A leasing agent should be proactive, yet I found myself having to call the office every other day for basic updates that should have been handled without my constant follow-up. An apology only goes so far when the errors keep piling up and causing significant delays.
You would think that given this building is fairly new, there would be more attention to detail in the leasing process—especially since signing residents directly benefits the leasing team. But that doesn’t seem to be the case. Even the information I was given throughout the process was inconsistent and, at times, completely illogical. For example, I was told:
1. My sister needed to show proof of $90,000 liquid cash in her checking account simply because she’s a server. (I never heard that before)
2. Full-time students were not allowed to live in the building (for whatever reason).
3. The income requirement changed from needing to make three times the rent to four times the rent in a matter of days. (Leo said it’s because upper management did not tell him)
4. He claimed he had forwarded my documents to his manager, only to later admit he forgot because he “had a long day.”
And the list goes on.

This experience highlighted just how crucial leasing agents are in shaping a resident’s first impression. No matter how "luxurious" a building claims to be, if the leasing staff is unprofessional, unresponsive, and adds unnecessary stress to prospective residents, it completely undermines the appeal of the property. This situation has been a prime example of that—and it is absolutely not worth the stress.

I love living at the Devon so far ! They are really on top of security measures here and send updated emails constantly which I like for a peace of mind. The units are spacious and beautiful. The area is convenient! They’re doing construction on the other building but I honestly barely hear it. Happy to call here my home so far!

I’ve been living in this new development for two months now, and I can confidently say it has exceeded my expectations. The luxury design, both inside and out, is stunning, with high-end finishes is truly what made me say, YES!

However, what really sets this community apart is the staff. From the office team to the managers, everyone is incredibly friendly, professional, and always willing to help. Communication is top-tier. Anytime there’s an issue or even the smallest inconvenience, residents are notified and updated within minutes. The level of service and responsiveness here is truly impressive.

My husband and I were drawn to the Devon because of the location and we initially spoke to Taylor on the phone. When we went in for a tour we met Leo. My first thought was he knows a lot about the apartment. As the tour went on I realized I would’ve rather ANYONE else gave us a tour. He was obnoxious and condescending when answering our questions. Lastly, a tenant called to ask about a package when we were at the desk towards the end of the tour and after hanging up her called her annoying OUT LOUD. That’s not a good look to someone who is looking to move in. It’s showing me that that’s how I will be treated once I sign my lease. If you are looking to lease here have Taylor or Ruvette do a tour and be your POC.
