I did not initially call them for an estimate for my home in The Plains, VA, a huge project requiring new siding, new roof, new windows, new doors, new gutters because I didn’t think they would be able to come all the way out here. But my friend and realtor was also impressed with the quality of work they did on my first house that she said I should call them. Michael Swank came, put together a detailed estimate after helping choose the best way to do things that would meet my preferences. Their estimate was not the cheapest or most expensive of the four companies I interviewed, but it was the most detailed and quickest to get back to me. Since I knew the quality of their work from my other house, it was an easy decision to choose Custom Concepts Construction. Danny Harper, made sure all the work was done to his standards. Katherine worked with me on billing the way it would work best with my different credit cards and credit card rewards. The crew was friendly and respectful. After each day of working, they cleaned the site. I would recommend them without reservation. They know what they are doing and try to do it consistently with products they trust.

I had Custom Concepts replace the siding, gutters, trim, and doors on my house and shed that were originally built in 1900. I know this was an incredibly challenging project for the team but the results are stunning. Everyone I worked with from the office staff to the work crews were friendly, patient, and responsive.
Danny was the project manager and he was such a pleasure to work with. He would always be available by phone or email. He also had great suggestions of how to make the house look even better. He came back several times after most of the work was completed to make sure no trash or debris was left on my property.

I was so happy with the whole process. Mike, Danny and Katherine were very professional and extremely helpful from beginning to end. The crew that installed my French doors did a fantastic job. The area they worked in was completely spotless when they were through. I really appreciated that they made me aware of an issue I had with insulation, and were able to recommend someone to help with that. They went above and beyond. It's great to know there are companies out there that are so customer service conscious. I highly recommend them.

Mike Swank, Katherine Harper and Danny Harper make up an amazing team over at Custom Concepts. Exceptional attentiveness to us, our questions, and project possibilities. We started our inquiry with them awhile back, considering Hardie siding + insulation + windows. Mike came over in person to view the property and was very knowledgeable about old homes (ours is 1915). He provided a very detailed quote with all costs clearly laid out, and he was attentive to numerous questions we had about preserving the look of our windows and other house details we did not want to lose. He also provided multiple estimates for various siding options. Ultimately, we ended up going with just a major window replacement project at this time (12 windows replaced). I researched and got quotes from several companies, for both siding and windows. I was worried about going with one of the big, national window companies, because I wanted proper installation on a house where nothing is square, and I had heard horror stories about poor installation on old houses (plus the quotes I got didn’t seem honest or straightforward with the other companies). Custom Concepts is a bit more expensive than the big window companies I got estimates from, but the price is still well-aligned, and the service and quality of work were beyond worth it. They installation team was exceptional too. And the cleanup during and after the project was outstanding. We will be back when we are ready for our next exterior project. The close up pic was of the impeccable caulking and fit of our windows. Our old house feels much less drafty.

We reached out to several contractors to have Hardie Siding installed on our 40yr house. We chose Custom Concepts as this was their focus. Their price was very reasonable compared to others and also included replacing soffits and window trim as the others did not. Their attention to detail and outstanding craftsmanship were certainly on display. Danny is a stickler (in a good way) and would often find and do touchups that we did not see. I would highly recommend.

Custom Concepts Construction, Inc. ( Jefferson, MD) has provided me with a well-deserved remodeling of my home. My forty year old house was in need of major renovations. I am a hands on homeowner. Custom Concepts are so wonderful from the initial interview to the final details of the construction completion. I had interviewed more than ten companies. There were none that had the expertise, quality, vision and incredible customer service that Custom Concepts had with years of tradition and experience. They were very in tune with best practices, material recommendations, and building regulations which were needed in my home renovation of the windows, siding, doors and roofing. They had the knowledge and skill to tackle this project that no other company had, for sure. Not only did they have great expectations but followed through to the completion of reconstruction.
The time and patience developing a plan with Michael was impeccably detailed, from providing materials that would best fit my home construction needs and my desires for better quality products. There were suggestion for what may be potential changes to the project as we went through and during demolition and reconstruction of multiple aspects of renovation. I feel that my home is not only better constructed, safe, stronger, insulated, and esthetically beautiful. I think the best in the neighborhood. It is also the opinion of my neighbors, who took the time to stop by and admire the progress of my home projects. My home is the envy of the neighborhood. Danny is one in a million, from his respect of his crew members down to his perseverance to making sure all went smoothly every day of the job.
I admired the quality of the support crews that work for Custom Concepts. Everyone had pride in their careers. They were polite, punctual and perfectionist in their expertise. Many of the craftsman have worked for Custom Concepts for many years. This lends to consistency, quality, and predictability of workmanship. They worked with precision in mind. I have heard of other company’s crews that were not interested in quality, and longevity of their construction. The theory of others being if you don’t see it then it does not matter.
My home renovations have proven to improve the air drafting throughout the house. This was one of many major concerns. The temperature has improved throughout the house making me so much more comfortable. The look of my home has more character and design due to Custom Concepts Construction’s (Jefferson, MD), vision. I am already enjoying the rest and relaxation from the fruits of Custom Concepts hard labor from the roof, siding (including supportive insulation), windows and doors. I cannot say anything but big praises for everyone involved with this multi aspect renovation. Trillions of thank yous are still not enough for how pleased I am with the final results.

Very professional contractor. We just had a full exterior replacement done and we love it! The craftsmanship is outstanding and it turned out better than expected. We love our home more every time we pull in the driveway! Danny kept us informed every step of the way, great communication. All our neighbors are impressed, we highly recommend CCC!

Installed new siding (massive touchups) and front door. Beautiful!!! I have renovated five homes and this would be one of my top crews. We have new baby and was great to have them accommodate. Hopefully no need but would hire them again. 😉 Great work and happy to have found them!
