Nate installed handmade tile in our kitchen. The tile had a fair amount of variation in dimensions but that was no problem for him. The work was professional and on time. We were pleased with the prep work he did to protect the recently installed counter and cabinetry. This was a minor job for Construction by Design—looking forward to a bigger challenge for them!

My wife and I had talked about renovating our kitchen for years. When we get our first initial quotes, it seemed it would remain a dream for a little longer as we couldn’t find anyone who fit in our budget.

A neighbor suggested we reach out to Nate with construction by design. And thankfully we did. Nate worked around our busy schedule and was able to provide a quote quickly. Furthermore, he put us in touch with an interior designer who used his measurements and provided many options for us while keeping us within our budget.

Once work began, Nate was on site everyday and kept us constantly informed of the work being done and provided regular updates. Lastly, he stayed within his time constraints and was done when he said he’d be done (including adding a small project we asked for just prior to the conclusion).

Lastly, it was great to know once Nate began, he wouldn’t move onto another project until ours was completed. There was no worry of him disappearing for a few days in order to complete another project.

I would recommend Nate and Construction by Design to everyone.

Doing a Kitchen remodel is not a cheap effort that you get to do often. So when I was looking for someone to remodel my kitchen, I didn't want a company that would just send in some independent 3rd party crew, whose job was to only do what they were told as fast as the possibly could. I wanted someone who would listen to what I wanted, pay attention to the details and communicate effectively with me. Three months after finishing our kitchen, we are still happy about the fine work and craftsmanship of it. Nate was wonderful. He was able to take our original design and customize it when we hit a major snag. We own an older home, so it is not unusual to hit a snag.
