We like to think of Avi Galanti and the Galanti Group as our “little family secret” since my extended family has collaborated and worked with Avi and his team on a handful of buy and sell side transactions in the last year and a half. Trouble is, Avi and his team are SO good that it is impossible to keep the secret that the Galanti Group is unquestionably the best real estate agency in the DC area.

Personally, my husband and I worked with Avi in the Fall/Winter 2021/2022 to purchase our family home in Bethesda, after receiving rave recommendations from my parents, brother and sister in law who had worked with Avi previously. My husband and me, our two small children and two cats, were moving from the NYC area to Bethesda and were completely unfamiliar with the area. We had virtually no idea where to start: we were open to different communities, styles of home, school districts and types of neighborhood vibes (basically a realtor’s dream client – ha!).

Avi was a fantastic partner from start to finish. He carefully listened while we rattled off, debated, and then narrowed down our list of must have criteria (which started out quite lengthy!) and thoughtfully guided us toward certain neighborhoods that were a fit based on our preferences. We met with Avi on three occasions, taking day trips to the Bethesda area to see as much as we could in a six-hour window, and Avi was able to secure the best showings, getting us in the door to places where I am certain other agents would have struggled securing slots. He showed us a range of home styles, which was very helpful to compare and contrast, and gently guided us toward what may work best given our family’s needs.

Throughout the process, there was zero pressure to rush to an offer, there was zero pressure to extend our budget beyond our thresholds – poor behaviors that are, unfortunately, all too common in many agents in this competitive marketplace. When found the house of our dreams, Avi was phenomenal during the offer process. We knew it was an incredibly competitive market, but we also knew that we were not willing to pay multiples of what we believed the home was worth to get a deal done. Avi is so incredibly knowledgeable with the market, so familiar with the process and how to put together a competitive offer, that our offer was accepted above five other offers with only one negotiated point with the sellers which we were expecting thanks to Avi’s smart guidance.

During the closing process, Avi’s team stepped in and was incredibly helpful and professional. We were overseas during the closing process and on closing day and his team went above and beyond to make it extremely easy and comfortable to complete the process virtually.

I’ve heard other friends complain about the process to buy or sell a home, especially in this market we are in today, mentioning how stressful, onerous, exhausting the experience was. Clearly, they did not work with the Galanti Group. Our experience was enjoyable, rewarding, educational and fun!

We hope to stay in our home for several years, but we will work with Avi and the Galanti Group again and again whenever we have a real estate transaction and would recommend, without hesitation or reservation, the Galanti Group to any friend or family member looking to sell or buy in the DC area. Secret is definitely out!
