The Spectrum staff prepared a very attractive and informative proposal based on our specifications, and offered clear options on major decisions to be made about design.

When my husband and I embarked on this ambitious project of a completely unfinished space, we met several architects and builders, but it was Keith's comprehensive skill set as an Architect, Designer, and Builder that truly stood out.

Keith and his team took a completely unfinished space and built the BEST basement I have ever seen and I still can’t believe it’s ours to enjoy! The project included designing and building a gym with a mirrored wall and a hanging punching bag, a custom bar with a brick backdrop and crafted custom wine cabinetry, a muti-level movie theater, a family room complete with built-in cabinetry and a gas fireplace, a full bathroom and a large storage area.

Right from our initial meeting, Keith exuded a sense of calm assurance, immediately putting us at ease with his experience and industry knowledge. His collaborative approach was refreshing; he didn't just listen to our ideas, he enriched them with his expertise, presenting various options while respectfully challenging our concepts to ensure they aligned with our ultimate goals. And every single one of his suggestions was nothing short of brilliant. As our project progressed, we found ourselves relying more and more on his expertise.

We also turned to Spectrum to close up a two-story foyer to create more living space on our 2nd floor. The new space not only increased the square footage of our house but it acts as a perfect study area for our children. Once again, Keith’s innovative approach and the team’s impeccable execution brought to life an area of our home that didn’t exist before that exceeded our expectations. Their ability to translate our ideas into tangible, functional spaces is unmatched.

We did a huge backyard renovation that involved tearing a rotted screened porch off the house and bricking in that wall of the house, building a new deck and stairs, putting in drainage everywhere, a stone patio, retaining walls, a fence, and a turf field. It was the first real home project we ever did. We wanted a professional company that we could trust and that really knew what they were doing. Keith has tons of experience and is a straight shooter. There were things he said were not worth the expense that we passed on and other things he recommended that we would not have thought of. The crew were very professional, polite, and did excellent work. We had a point of contact who was always available to us and kept us informed. When we wanted to change something we got in touch with Keith and he was quick to help us figure out an alternative. And now the yard is an amazing place to host events. Working with Spectrum Design + Build has been fantastic. We have a National Historic Landmark rowhouse and it requires special care in renovations. Spectrum has always accommodated the particular requirements.

We have had several projects with Spectrum and they are our only contractor to consider. They have dealt with infrastructure issues revealed during projects.
For example during a total kitchen/bathroom remodel they had to remove all of the walls and deal with the ravages of time that was found when opening the walls up. Amazingly, they keep change orders to a minimum without compromising the job!

When things don't go perfectly right Spectrum stands by their work and works very hard to make everything right---even if it costs them some money. Things go perfectly right almost 100% of the time.

We had Spectrum Design+Build redo a home gym during the pandemic. One of the things we wanted was a durable floor. Spectrum found the perfect material that is somewhat pliable while also being tough. They installed a shelf and TV mount, heavy bag, a TRX, mirrors on the wall, and the flooring. The quality of the work was outstanding. Most important, the follow up was excellent. When the wall mirrors started to show some staining due to material defects, Spectrum arranged for the mirrors to be replaced with only labor as the cost. Excellent work all around, we will definitely use them again.
