I live in a new subdivision that is developed by Banks. We had high hopes for this neighborhood and have been very disappointed. Aesthetically, the neighborhoods integrity has been compromised by one builder who keeps building almost the same house over and over. In fact, he has built 3 in a row that have almost identical floor plans. We have 8 new homes in our subdivision and 5 of them have the exact same double front door. The curb appeal is lacking in our subdivision because no standards are enforced for making sure the houses aren’t too similar or identical.
Our entryway was written as being a stone entry but was changed to a brick that was painted snow
white and not maintained at all. The entryway paint constantly chips off in large sections and is a eyesore, it’s really a embarrassment. The entryway landscaping is usually overgrown with weeds and has no lighting whatsoever. We have had 2 emergency situations where 911 was dispatched and they couldn’t find the entryway to our neighborhood for lack of light-The entryway is not visible at night since we have no streetlights or entryway lights. Lastly, our entryway drive is lined with trees that are in need of pruning and several are dead.
We love our home but have been shocked by the lack of attention to detail by the developers.
I hope these issues don’t make our resale value decrease because potential residents we meet while walking the dogs always comment on how similar some of the houses look and that’s a concern for those of us who have already invested in the neighborhood.

I used Banks Engineering regarding an existing cinderblock structure; the engineer, Gene answered my technical questions intelligently and was very helpful and professional. I appreciate the response and friendly service.
