Called to find a responsive realtor to help me find a home in Iowa City.
Gave them what I was looking for and sent an email with examples of properties that I was interested in that had sold in the past so they could get an idea of what I wanted.

Listed our home with 2 of their realtors in March. Supposedly had an all cash offer with no contingencies April 8th. Was set to close on May 8, 2024 or before. Was told as soon as abstract was all cleared by buyer’s attorney that we could close cause we was moving out of state as soon as it sold . We was asked how soon we could have everything cleared out by. We was out by April 28th to I asked to close the 30th of April to let’s set it for then or May 1st to the 29th of April was told couldn’t happen till the 8th the 29th morning I scheduled to have utilities stopped in my name on the 30th of April. They was told that on the 29th that evening when they called and said they could not close till the 8th . To hour prior to closing on the 8th of May they did another walk through and the utilities was not on yet they was switch into buyers name but they had till midnight to have them on. To buyers walked. Utilities was on at 1230pm on the 8th to by 1pm I’m being told by my realtor to sign a release on earnest money let’s drop price and resale it.
I have terminated my contract with them as realtors and will not sign a release to their earnest money. If you are wanting a realtor to look out for you this isn’t them.

Emily Farber was a FANTASTIC person to work with! Emily was always responsive to questions as they came up, she worked diligently to setup showings, she was honest and courteous about potential properties, and she would not hesitate to recommend looking at other properties! Emily was very responsive in helping setup all of the closing needs and did not leave her clients to find experts themselves (as has happened with previous agents). They all came to our home, provided great insight into the market for our home, listing price, etc., and gave us some great advice even though they weren't certain we would even list with them. From the moment we listed our home, Ben Nicholson and Holly Johnson were on the job. We had an accepted offer in 2 weeks. Both Ben and Holly were very efficient in keeping in touch with us, letting us know where we were in the process and answering any questions we had immediately.
