I requested Electric Service to be put in my name on 3/1/2021 in person at LaPorte City Utilities (LPCU) in LaPorte City IA. I hadn't received a Bill. I went into Laporte City Utilities (LPCU) on 4/19/21 to check on my Bill and was told by Robyn (Office Mgr) that I was not only being charged for Electric, but also being charged for Sewer. I was completely unaware of that. I never requested Water or Sewer or otherwise. I only requested Electric Service. This part is agreed by both Robyn and myself, but since the Complex I live in doesn't pay the Sewer; LPCU decided on their own accord to charge me. Robyn at LPCU said it should be part of my Lease. Checked a copy of my Lease on 4/20/21. The page identifying Utility Charges (specifically Sewer Charges) is not directly acknowledged or approved by me (i.e., I did Not initial or sign to accept Sewer Charges nor changes to that effect on the Lease). I did Not Complete Nor Sign the LPCU Application. Charged for something Not Requested.
