I noticed that a lot of my neighbors were using GVA Renovations for home repair, etc., so I decided to call upon them. I used them to rebuild part of a stair case. I liked their work so I called them back to do a paint job only but then decided to have them to do crown molding thought my home. The painting and crown molding was completed in 3 days with perfection. The best part is that the prices GVA Renovations charges are reasonable. GVA responded quickly to my request for help in fixing a ceiling crack. They were able to schedule an estimate and service quickly, with great communication and friendly service throughout.

GVA also handled things wonderfully when the repair job turned out to be slightly more complicated than expected. The ceiling crack ended up being caused by an odd shortcut by the previous homeowner's contractor, where drywall had been glued rather than screwed to rafters despite a significant gap between the framing and the ceiling. Andrei and his team took the time to assess the situation carefully and come up with a more reasonable solution (using 2 x 4's to close the gap) rather than just duplicating the previous contractor's odd shortcut. Dealing with that issue did not add any real delay to the project's completion; despite initially expecting a quick job, GVA took the time to handle the situation that day. (Andrei was also able to match the paint on my ceiling by eyeballing it and using some paint they had on hand.)

GVA was a great value and great experience, and I would recommend them without any hesitation.

I never write reviews but If you can avoid them for bigger projects I would. This company is not a renovation company and it is a joke that they even call themselves that. Andrei wasted my time to provide me with a quote to upgrade my electrical panel, update the tile and vanity in a 25 square foot bathroom and finishing an unfinished laundry room. He was going to use Huff and Sons as the electrician to upgrade my electrical panel and bring my 1,200 sq. foot home up to code. The price he wanted to charge me was $12,500 for the electrical update (this price did not reflect rewiring the whole house rather it would be grounding the wires in the home that were not grounded). If I wanted to rewire my ENTIRE home it was going to cost $17,500. I received other electrical quotes from other companies in the Atlanta area and this quote was by far the highest for not even rewiring the ENTIRE home. To make matters worse, I was providing all electrical materials including the electrical panel, circuit breakers, outlets and light switches. It blew my mind by how much this company wanted to price gauge me. The highest quote aside from the one from GVA/Huff and Sons was $9,500 and that was to REWIRE the ENTIRE house. In total the quote came out to $22,500 which was absurd. When I called Andrei to understand why the electrical quote was so high (mind you he told me that not rewiring the whole house would be the cheaper/more economical route) he could not properly explain to me why the cost was so high. He told me that when he sent the quote he just grabbed it from the electrician (Huff and Sons) without actually looking at it before he sent it. To me, that screams incompetence and shows that he would not be able to handle the job that I had him come to estimate. For the 25 sq. ft. half bathroom, Andrei was going to charge me almost $2k just to update the tile and install a new vanity. That price equates to approximately $80 per sq. ft. which is beyond the national average and I was supplying the tile and the vanity. I’m sure this company might be good for smaller scale projects but I would never recommend this company based on what they were trying to quote me. Watch out as they will most likely try to take advantage of you.
