Because atlanta has thankfully mandated that large projects need to have minority owned businesses associated with it (which I am not criticizing and admire about our city) a few bad eggs have taken advantage by advertising themselves as an architecture/construction firms even though they arent really doing anything but collecting a check and pretending to be important. CHASM makes those places look legitimate. This is the very worst architecture firm any architect that has worked in Atlanta knows about.
For committees or whomever picks minority owned businesses for large projects as a minority I ask why are you picking THEM? They make us all look like bums and are intentionally ruining all the credibility we have spent DECADES trying to cultivate.
The leadership at this firm (including the inaugural AIA Atlanta president) are incompetent. They don't know how to put a building together. All they can do is market themselves as legitimate. They pretend their bad reviews from their clients and employees are because of racism, but that's a lie- every architect in Atlanta knows about this place and refuses to claim them.
