Caroline is a joy to work with. She is professional, courteous, timely, incredibly talented and truly listened carefully to everything we wanted for our addition and remodel. When we couldn't figure out how to make our downstairs flow in a logical manor, Caroline came up with a solution that frankly blew our minds and solved all of our issues. Caroline is phenomenal! We hired Caroline to help us completely re-design/layout our home to make it more comfortable and livable for us. We bought a little bitty house that we were originally planning to rent out. Life happened, so it became home. You previously walked in the front door to face a big wall, we had our washer/dryer crammed into our tiny little kitchen, and upstairs was basically just a hallway with a weirdly shaped little office space. Honestly, we didn't think it was going to be possible to make this house meet our needs - but we were so unhappy with our space that we wanted an architect to tell us what was actually possible. Caroline listened carefully to all our personal preferences and requests, and after coming out to tour and measure, she somehow came up with multiple options that fit all of our requests into our small space without changing the footprint of the house! I'm a pretty creative and design focused person, and I am still blown away with her talent. After going through all the incredible options she provided, she took our comments on each option to personalize the plans even further to make our house into a home that no longer even feels small. It takes an incredibly talented person to fit a large kitchen, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, an office, 6 full closets, and a laundry space COMFORTABLY into 1400 sqft. I cannot recommend her enough!!!

Caroline Leyburn designed an addition to my home in Norcross, Georgia. She prepared a complete set of design drawings suitable for both building permit application and actual construction. The completed drawings were delivered ahead of the date promised and for a very reasonable price. She also provided some additional architectural services when the project moved to the actual construction phase. Overall, I am very pleased with the process and the results.
Throughout the work I found Caroline to have a very good knowledge of construction methods, engineering, residential design, and applicable codes. She showed initiative in presenting alternative design features that had potential lower costs and improved appearance. She was able to identify potential problems with various alternatives in the design. Caroline was always available to discuss the work. Communications were always clear, both verbally and in writing. Answers to questions were provided promptly and completely. The working relationship has been friendly and professional. Caroline maintained appropriate client confidentiality throughout the design process. It was a pleasure to have Caroline do the design work for my project.

Can’t recommend Caroline more highly. She had excellent and creative ideas to improve on our vision, she was responsive to my (endless) questions/feedback, and the drawings were top notch (as confirmed by multiple contractors). We made multiple modifications throughout, she provided detailed options at each stage (as well as the bimx models to see 3D). We found her rates to be quite reasonable, and an extremely good investment in our project overall.
