Went there for lunch with my wife. Awesome service. Good food. Reasonable prices.

Haven't stayed in a room but I use their facilities weekly. It's clean, well maintained and hosted by a very friendly staff.

I owned a cabin in Cal Pines but wanted to stay the night as we were late and the cabin would need cleaning. So we would go there in the morning. Got to our room and the whole place was one big party with a bunch of drunks everywhere. Bid mistake as we went on July 4th. DON'T go on July 4th. Thinking you will see some fireworks and then sleep. Nope the party last until every morning. This was not this year but they gave me no choice, to pick another year.|We decided to leave and had not used the bathroom or the bed. Tried to get my card creited as they could rent the room out as nothing was used. They would not refund the money. Complete a-holes. We left and never came back to eat there or anything. That so called lake is drying up and not like you see in pictures from years ago,

Best one to visit in a long time. Some guy plays the guitar on Thursday night. He's great! And the food is excellent!

The accommodations were ok not a five star resort but very comfortable. The scene out the hotel was breathtaking. The other reason is the people they were so friendly and accommodating. We ate at the Lake View Diner and the food was excellent. Loved waking up to deer outside our widow

I love to stay at the Lodge...eating at the restaurant is top notch & the bar can be a fun atmosphere. Walking around the building at sunset along the reservoir/lake you see some spectacular views. We went 4/8-11. Chilly but beautiful!

My husband and I decided to take a road trip this week during spring break. Cal Pines was our first stop, booked for 2 nights. We figured we had the time, so why not check out those inexpensive lots & see what it was all about. Check in was mostly OK, except the poor gal was having a hard time using the new chip reading card machines. We were disappointed to find that the bar & restaurant were closed during the days we were there (Mon-Tues). We were the only one's staying in the entire lodge, I have to admit that was a little weird to me being spring break. Once we got in to our room, I was pleasantly surprised. The ceilings are vaulted A-Frame style w/ knotty wood, and while somewhat dated, I've seen much worse. There was a mini fridge, microwave, coffee pot, flat screen TV & Wifi. Things that could use improvement- bedding is looking a bit worn, and the bathroom itself is pretty cramped quarters, our door didn't close easily, the shower door didn't close well either. I was worried the toilet was going to run over because the water ran so long. We decided to stay just for the one night because we found the land was not something we were interested in and to be honest, the town itself is pretty drab. Our choice to move on had nothing to do with the lodge itself. I imagine this place does a lot better in the summer when it's a little warmer out & families can enjoy the outdoor amenities. I have nothing negative to say about the staff, they were very nice, and our dog was welcomed with open arms.

We stayed just once night and it was really clean, big room. The bathroom was small and simple, but very clean too. The property is big and itβs very beautiful. The only part they forgot to clean was under the beds. But everything else was great. Comfortable beds and good shower.
