Working with Re+Habit Design and Susan was the best decision I made when it came time to remodeling our kitchen, family room and exterior home. At first I wasn't sure she'd accept my project because I live in the East Bay and felt so lucky and grateful when she took the job. Susan is meticulous and she listened to how we use and work at home from needing lower counter tops, accessible spacing, more storage, etc. She used those insights to completely design overhaul the space. She comes with great ideas and resources that makes decision making easy. I've lived with my new kitchen and family room for over a year now and we LOVE it!!! We hired Susan at Re+Habit to design and manage our downstairs remodel, which involved converting garage space into finished space for a laundry room and converting a half bath to a full bath. The project also included insulation and finishing of the garage space, installation of a hydronic radiant heat system throughout the house, and a voluntary seismic upgrade.

Susan was fantastic at every point in the project. We were surprised how quickly she was able to get our building permit approved. Her understanding of design as it relates to scale and flow resulted in a big improvement in the livability of our 1938 home.

Susan was on site throughout the project and would come over to meet with our contractor for everything from tile layout to lighting, cabinet and countertop installation. Her taste in finishes and eye for detail were a big part of why the project turned out so well. Of course, out contractor did a fantastic job, but Susan designed in small details that I wouldn't have thought of myself.

We love what she did so much that we want to hire her back to update our kitchen and dining room next!
