Alvah did work on behalf of/with PG&E to install a new utility pole outside my house in Berkeley. They severed the line for internet access to my house and didn't even bother to tell me. They also cut branches off a tree and just left them in front of my house partially on the road. Lastly, they left behind a pair of wire cutters. Just really lazy/sloppy work.

The unprofessionalism of this guy is unbelievable. Leaves his truck, on a blind corner, red curb and then hurls expletives at me for telling him to move as it’s a dangerous corner. He starts walking at me to intimidate or do who knows what at which point I drove off. The entire crew is blocking the road with no regard to neighbors or even driveways.

The workers just showed up and closed the access to a deadend street without any prior warning. When confronted one of their workers just rolled up their window and stopped responding. His best argument was that they had a permit. For whoever higher up that is reading this, seems like you and your crew don’t understand how to do your job. A permit is between the city and the contractor. That does not mean you can just go ahead and not post prior warnings to people who will be affected in the area. Micky Mouse Operation all around. These are the people who give construction industry a bad name.

On-site ALVAH construction workers had four large trucks including two cherry pickers and one man actually “working”. Most trucks with out of state license plates. Ran engines of large (diesel?) trucks & equipment within 20 feet of residences all afternoon, for many subsequent days, even though no one was actually doing any work most of that time.
No signs posted for scheduled work anywhere!
OVERSTAFFED and under-skilled worksite, taking many more days than necessary to complete the job causing undue expense, difficulty and inconvenience for surrounding residents. Looked and sounded like a tailgate party, most days.
Carelessly damaging trees on their way in and out with cherry-picker. Damaging private and public property with unskilled piloting of huge utility pole, Illegally and unnecessarily parking and blocking alleys, private garages and through-ways, blocking access for stakeholders and waste management services. Foreman and others disrespectful, inconsiderate, disruptive and antagonistic to adjacent residents and stakeholders. Unprofessional behavior throughout.

Shame on whomever gave this company this contract. Hire someone else unless you like contractors that cavalierly pad their invoices, wasting your time and money. Unfortunately in this case, it looks like the utility customers are paying this bill!

Very unprofessional, foul-mouthed workers who don't deserve to be employed. Very misogynistic and disrespectful to the public at large. Can't image they could be pleasant with clientele.
