I choose Elaine Roberts Drafters & Designers because their website and work they share (if theirs) looked nice and they are a good bit cheaper. My wife and I are designing our dream home chose them to work on our plans. Paid a deposit of $950. After deposit was made it was similar to a lot of the other stories on here. They started to ghost us and not respond like they had been. I had to deploy for a couple months so mainly contacted through email. We had a consultation call where they seemed to be legit before I left. Then they didn't meet or even start our project by the deadline dates they set forth. They then said they would just refund me. They said there was issues with the refund and a bunch or other things. I requested a refund through my bank. I also threatened to call the police and file I report which I ended up doing when I came home from my deployment. Most people prob just get angry and never follow through and they keep the deposit. I don't let people steal from me.
Save yourself a headache and do business elsewhere. They are going to reply on here and say how its not their fault and make excuses prob their refund system takes 90 days! Unheard of.

Somehow, they were able to take everything we said in our 1st meeting and create exactly what we had in our heads. We are currently interviewing builders and are excited to begin construction. They listened to my wants and desires along the way, they made adjustments on the fly as requested, they were way more affordable and offered more value in the final package when compared to others. They seem to a smaller team that has a high attention to detail, with this comes time, They are not the fastest but one of the best.
One of the best things i loved is the 3-d renderings and video walk arounds of the house.

Absolutely terrible. I paid a deposit for future home plans. I was very descriptive when speaking to Christy about my plans- One level barndo, specific interior layouts and sq ft. She explained to me that they certainly could design my plans. I paid a deposit, sent the EXACT exterior structure of what I wanted, along with additional interior layout and door. I heard nothing for several weeks, with many phone call attempt. I received a random email apologizing for the delay, that a family member had an illness. Weeks go by again with no returned calls. Finally, I requested they return my deposit and I would outsource a more reliable designer. I recently received another random email with some generic sketches that were nothing of mine. I responded and asked them if they were able to adequately provide services.- NO RESPONSE. I have since then called multiple times, left multiple messages in request to have my deposit refunded. As of today, I have reported them and contacted my bank. After reading reviews and doing further research( I should have prior to hiring them)I see the EXACT same scam happening over and over. What a waste of my time, money and energy!

Update: My bank fully reimbursed me. Their response was bogus, and numerous people have contacted me about pursuing legal action against them for fraud.

My husband and I wanted to build a Barndominium type home. We had looked at many designs and found a plan that was close to what we thought we wanted. We reached out to Elaine Roberts Drafters & Designers. We had our initial phone call with Christy Parker from Elaine Roberts Drafters and Designers on 10/24/2022. We discussed our plan and modifications that would need to be made. We were presented with our contract and a scheduled time frame to bring the final drawings and plans to fruition. Christy guaranteed that they could have this project completed and to us by the end of November 2022. Approximately 30 days! We received our final drawings exactly 30 days to the day! Outstanding customer service and commitment!

Christy communicated with us at least once if not twice a week during this process. She was prompt in answering our questions. If we did not receive an immediate response, we did within 24 hours depending on the time of day we reached out to her. Christy and her husband were very professional and took the time to answer all of our questions and concerns. During the process we were presented with drawings to proof and all changes were communicated and fixed within 24 hours clear up to final approval of the drawings.

Christy Parker has been nothing short of professional and amazing to work with. We will recommend Elaine Roberts Drafters and Designers to friends and family members looking to embark on the design of a new home. Thank you again Christy for making this process a pleasurable experience.

I am very happy with the stock plan that we purchased and had amended. Initially it was going to be a few small changes, and it turned into a much larger project than anyone anticipated. Throughout all the changes, the team was responsive and quickly turned changes around for approval. They even worked with my builder to finalize a few details that he needed to show for permit purposes. I am hoping that we are building our forever home, but if not, I would not hesitate to use ERDD again. Money well spent.
