the only good thing here is how modern it is. THATS IT. parking is absolute garbage , there’s never any parking available despite the scam of a price they charge you. they care more about their staff parking over tenants. the elevator is always broken so good luck with that. the staff sucks too. they get mad they have to do their job. literally closed their doors 10 minutes earlier while i went to get my package and they heard me as they closed it. i stormed around the building and found an open door and the staff just stood there looking at me and then when i asked for my package they were like ā€œwe close in like 10 minutes but i can grab itā€ like okay and you’re still open and clocked in lol do your job ?

they make you take a survey in the beginning of the year so you don’t have a chance to experience all the issues plaza has. the staff is rude, wifi consistently goes out, packages are constantly lost, and the modern look is to hide all the structure flaws. the roof leaks every time it rains, the elevator permits expired in 2021 and are constantly broken. one of the main two elevators near the community center has been broken since fall quarter so it can take up to 10 minutes to catch an elevator. besides the awful parking situation, the elevator in the structure is out of service at least once a week, so if you’re parked on the upper levels hope you don’t have much to carry. packages are left outside on the floor if the community center isn’t open and the staff does not care. they tell residents they are not liable for missing packages and that if we have a delivery when the community center is closed and it’s left outside and stolen it’s our fault. so make sure you don’t have any mail coming on holidays because the mailroom is located in the community center and it will get left outside the building. i just want to emphasize how rude the front desk staff is and how little they care about any issue that residents bring to them. if i could give zero stars i would. i lived in vista del campo for two years and can confidently say i never had any of the issues i have had at plaza in the quarter and a half i’ve been here. also for the most expensive community and the only one with solar panels why is plaza the only community that requires residents to pay for electricity.

if i could give it 0 stars i would. the only good thing about living at plaza was the amenities, but honestly i rarely utilized them.
parking was a NIGHTMARE!!! if you couldn’t park in the plaza structure you had to park at east campus which is a 5-10 minutes walk depending on what floor you’re on… i used to get back home from work at 2am and i would be exhausted , just to not have parking. it costs $305/quarter for parking and 40% of the stalls are reserved for staff or electric charging/vehicle.
this year they also closed the ENTIRE 5TH FLOOR DUE TO INSTALLING SOLAR PANELS!!! they gave little notice and didn’t even discount our parking pass even though we couldn’t park on an entire floor.
the staff was also horrible!! they didn’t care to do their job & was so rude & condescending towards me. if you got a package & it needed it asap, too bad, the staff was too lazy to get it for you. even though they were just on their laptops doing school work. i’ve dealt with some nice staff but majority were rude.
i tried to break my lease towards the end of the year since i was no offered a renewal (not that i would take it) and i found another place to live at. in my lease agreement it states that i can break my lease with approval for $400. they wouldn’t even let me submit an application to break it because i didn’t ā€œfit the criteriaā€ to break my lease. which is a bunch of bull since in the lease the criteria to break it IS NOT STATED!!! when i talked to the supposed leasing manager they told me i can try to find someone to sublease, when i told her i’ve tried she said to ā€œtry harderā€.
living here was horrible and i would never room at ACC ever again. it sucks that this is really the only nice option for on campus living. a lot of our appliances required maintenance which they were good on showing up and fixing the issue. but other than that living here was not pleasant.
good luck to anyone living here or in Plaza Phase II because they added over 1,000 new beds and no extra parking… have fun walking 10 minutes every day.

One of the nicest ACCs at UCI. The low reviews are because people got themselves into a paperwork fiasco and are venting. There is always parking available at East Campus Parking Structure, which is a little bit of a walk, but nothing to stress over.

Staff and Front Desk are very rude and don't take responsibility. I've had an issue about electricity and leasing, but could not get a straight answer for about 2 months. Asked front desk for the 4th time and they told me it was my fault my roommates are going to pay more because I didn't sign the addendum. The general manager was a thousand times easier and non-passive aggressive to talk to, so I HIGHLY recommend talking to them rather than front desk. Leases should be upheld and it's not my problem for their mistake of sending out the wrong lease. The front desk told me to go away and "they'll handle it" and has never said anything back to me. Really hope students looking for housing next year won't be applying to this, as having a simple problem to fix will NOT get fixed and you'll have to wait longer than expected to get an answer. Customer service NEEDS to be a major improvement and management has be better in the future. Future anteaters beware.

The experience has been horrible this last year. The management team took forever to address my subleasing request and they failed to help resolve disputes between my other roommates. I had to cover months of unpaid shares of the electricity because of the possibility of the termination of the lease for removing myself as the head of the account. I was also charged fees upon moving out for failing to remove the trash from the apartment despite moving before my other roommates left and turned in their keys. Honestly choose any other community cause this one is not worth the price.

The front desk is usually nice but the apartments are not made well, very thin walls where I could hear the person downstairs playing music and knew what song it was. Laundry is not cleaned right so the clothes will come out smellier than when they went in, they will withhold a residents mail which is illegal. There is a bad smell in the hallway that makes it impossible to walk through and hasn’t been fixed for a full quarter. The autolock doors also cost $25 to ask them to let you in if you’re prone to forgetting your keys which doesn’t even make sense

Truly one of the worst apartment planning jobs. Within the 5 months of living here, we have already had to have service on our water heater twice. The parking situation is one of the worst; the top floor of the structure hasn’t been completed yet although they said it would be before end of the fall quarter, and the elevator in the structure has been broken since the start of winter quarter (5 weeks). The pricing is more expensive than similar floor plans of other properties, and those properties include electricity in the rent. Although the new appliances and furnishings are nice, the apartments do not warrant the cost of rent and the construction planning was awful.
