Alyssa in the front office is the best community professional I've ever worked with. Don't get me wrong Nicole (community manager), Kevin, & Chris and Darby (who are no longer there) were also awesome, but it felt like Alyssa would go beyond what was asked.

My wife and I lived at Baker Block for just over 3 years and we really enjoyed our time there. It was a struggle leaving since we built a life around being so close to everything. The location is one of the best imo. With close access to 55/405/73/SNA & food and stores it makes it hard to beat. Also the fact that it is on the airport side of the 55, it is really quiet at night. There's also a couple of good churches within walking distance.

During our time there we lived in two units (a loft and non-loft). I would highly recommend getting the loft option on the 4th floor if it's available. Parking is safe and we got an EV dedicated reserved spot which was $100/mo + .25 / kWh.

Maintenance team (Eddie and Andrew) are on point. They're quick to respond to tickets and they always follow up after a request is completed.

I'd say we're going to miss a lot of things about BB and so happy we made the decision to live here for 3 years.

Baker Block is a modern affordable luxury building that really care about their residents! Front office and maintenance are very very nice and professional. They respond almost immediately to any questions and emails! The community is beautiful, feels like home! I viewed 7 different communities before choosing to apply at Baker Bock and I’m so grateful I did!

Great place to live. Spent 6 months here on a work trip and it was amazing. The staff are super friendly and professional. 🏆 They made the whole experience great. Especially because I had to arrange everything from Australia! 🐨 I highly recommend anyone looking to live in the area to check out Baker Block. Oh, the living space and amenities are also great! 🏊‍♂️🏃‍♂️🐕 Level 5 was our favorite spot. Also, the coffee machine was really great! ☕️

I have been living at this apartment community for three years now and overall, my experience has been positive. The management team, particularly Elyssa and Chris, is exceptionally nice and kind, always ready to assist with any concerns or issues. I have dealt with them quite a few times, and they are really good at their jobs. The housekeeping staff works tirelessly every day to keep the common areas spotless, which I greatly appreciate.

However, there are a few issues caused by some of the residents. It's not uncommon to find dog poop around the community, and there is often loud noise around the pool area due to frequent parties. Given that this is a large community with many residents, it's understandable that management cannot control every individual’s behavior. It is ultimately the responsibility of the residents to maintain cleanliness and be considerate of others, especially since many of us have pets.

Regarding noise, the community does enforce noise regulations and ensures that there is no partying in common areas after quiet hours. Unfortunately, some residents are not as mindful of their neighbors during non-quiet hours, particularly around the pool area. This can be quite disruptive, but again, this is a matter of individual responsibility.

Greedy management company that will make your stay miserable. I was afraid of leaving a review during my stint at Baker Block due to the possibility of reprisal. But now that I am free, I highly suggest those looking for a nice place to live remove Baker Block from their consideration. The complex is very loud, with both residents and the nearby airport being the main contributors. Management will ALWAYS raise your rent to the maximum they are allowed by state law—at the time of writing this, increases are as much as ~10% a year. There is dog poop everywhere, as many residents refuse to pick up after their pets. And lastly, do not expect your security deposit back upon moving out, even if the apartment is left in excellent condition. They will always charge you for cleaning, paint, and carpet replacement, always at inflated prices.

While the amenities were beautiful and the maintenance people did their best, there was SOOOO much dog poop everywhere all the time. Loud cars always revving and loud people partying (younger crowd in their 20's and early 30's). And some people kept their (large, untrained) dogs offleash which is unsafe - one bit my husband.

But what left a really bad taste in my mouth after moving is they kept our security deposit and charged us even more, for a cleaning, carpet cleaning, and painting the walls although our apartment was left in pristine condition (even cleaned the carpets before moving out.) After living there for 5 years and paying on time every month, felt like that's overkill.

Kevin was great in helping us move in. Even after moving in he still checks on us to see if we need anytbing. .

I have been living in this apartment complex for almost couple of years now. The leasing office people are nice and friendly. They organize events for the community regularly and the amenities are great. I do like living here overall. The vibe is like that of that boutique hotels and the residents are a lot of young professionals (some family). My only complaint is the noise level on the street. Other people might not mind but their workers would start their shift before 7am making loud noises and for someone who is not a morning person, this is not ideal. It would be great if they could wait until close to 8am if only possible...
