I work in the San Antonio Public Safety Answering Point Building that Ross Drulis Cusenbery is listed as the designer. This building is a prime example of how this firm has no idea of designing a building for it's intended use. What a failure.
1. One elctrical outlet in our industrial kitchen. Plus they put in an 14' island with no electrical plugs
2. The hollow raised floor HVAC system is un-ducted under the floor blowing dust and rodent fecal matter up into workspace
3. Sump pump placed under sleeping quarters (very loud when it kicks on)
4. Restrooms placed poorly requiring personnel to leave the call floor for unnecessary time when call load is heavy
5. Full sized upper cabinet placed over kitchen sink. Must stand away from sink or face is directly in the cabinet door.

These seem like simple design flaws that claimed professional architects should pick up. Overall a complete failure. With designs like this don't see how they can stay in business. The fact that they design municipal projects may explain it. Cities take the lowest bid. I'm a user of this firm's product and it completely misses it's mark. I'm only one of a hundred in this building and everyone has a list of flaws. I wish the city could get a refund on this poor design.
