Completely unprofessional. We needed a survey done for a multi-million dollar commercial project and we were on a time crunch, so the main reason we hired Element was because from the start, they promised they could get us the survey within 2 weeks. -- 5 weeks later of yanking our chain around and delaying the project, HE TELLS US HE CANNOT DO THE SURVEY AND WE NEED TO HIRE SOMONE ELSE! This was a colossal waste of time, and cost us tens of thousands of dollars. I would have rather him give us a realistic expectation from the start. Strongly do not recommend.

Andrew was supposed to be completing a job for us. He was reviewing home plans for the Structural review to submit to the city.

Initially he told us it would take 3 to 4 weeks. 3 1/2 weeks went by and I checked in with him and he told me that he wasn’t complete. We asked him where he was in the process and he said he still has a lot to do but he’s working faster than any other engineers. He told us it would take an additional four weeks.

Almost 4 weeks later we checked back in and he still had nothing for us. Couldn’t even give us a timeline on when he be done.

Please keep in mind this was for a renovation property that turned into a new build. So time was of the essence due to loans.

Anyways after almost 2 months Andrew produced almost nothing in cost us thousands and thousands of dollars in fees and his failure to do the work was the direct result.

I would urge anybody that I was looking to use Andrew or element engineering to reconsider. After almost 2 months with nothing produced for Andrew, We received absolutely zero communication and nothing from him to show the work.

Andrew of Element Engineering was extremely professional and provided excellent customer service. He responded back quickly to my text message and I was able to schedule an appointment very quickly. Due to the number of homes being purchased right now - June 2021, we scheduled the appointment for 2 weeks out. He kept us up to date of his arrival on appointment date. Upon arrival, he explained to me what he was checking for structurally at the home we were planning to purchase. He was extremely thorough and didn't mind answering all of my questions. He explained in great detail the issues with the detached Garage Roof bracing to my husband, which my husband can fix most on his own. He delivered the report promptly to us. I have already recommended him to my realtor who has already sent his contact information to another one of her clients. I strongly recommend Andrew / Element Engineering for your structural needs! A definite 5 star service!

I was in contract with tight timelines to purchase a home and needed a structural inspection asap to confirm the integrity of the house before I could proceed with other inspections (roof, sewer, etc).
Andrew was able to get me a time slot on a Sunday afternoon.
He came in, did his observations and measurements inside, outside, and under the house then provided a debrief of the structural condition in a language that anyone can understand. He also provided me a stamped report the next morning which helped me make a decision on the house.
The house turned out to have significant structural issues so I was able to make a decision quickly and cancel subsequent inspections.

I recently contacted Element Engineering to obtain an Elevation Certificate of my property, to be submitted to FEMA. The following day, I received an email from Andrew Hammond, asking details of my property. I provided him with the needed information, and he set up an appointment for a Sunday, at 8:00 AM to survey the area, take pictures, etc. He arrived precisely at 8:00 AM, did the surveying and a couple of days later I received the documentation. Also, Andrew went the extra mile and assisted me with additional documentation that I was unaware was needed. I highly recommend Andrew; he is easy to work with, knowledgeable, professional, and extremely personable. Overall, I had a positive experience working with this company.
