We contracted them for 2 jobs, a sub floor repair/whole-house flooring job and a pipe burst repair. We ended up filing complaints with the state licensing board for quality of work issues, unfinished work, and that it took two years to complete the whole house flooring job that they said would only take a few weeks, where they blamed us for our availability (for two years) even though they had the first 3 months to complete the job where we were home and available every day. Also 6 months to finish the kitchen pipe burst repair mostly due to cabinet backorder, but also because they did not install our sink correctly, and blamed the cabinet company who we ended up paying extra to come out and fix the sink. There was nothing wrong with the cabinets, we verified through both the cabinet company, but also a separate plumbing company. I had to repair, fix or replace things that the crew had broken. I had to ask that repairs be redone multiple times because of quality of work issues. We also had to clean up after them consistently and they left new and old materials in the house for weeks at a time. they did not use a dust shield when sanding drywall or texturing so we had dust all over everything in the house including our pets for weeks. When they did clean up, they used and broke our vacuum, and ruined our broom/dust pan. Communication was unprofessional like asking to come over to do work or showing up to do work without notice while we were at work. Also asking us to provide THEM a list of things that still needed to be completed many, many times. They repeatedly asked for more money before it was contractually due for both jobs. The agreement was 50% up front for materials, 25% to complete the work, and the last 25% once the job was completed and we were satisfied with the work. They asked us for more money for the pipe repair even though our insurance company was the one providing the payments. The insurance company stopped reimbursing us for food, because the pipe repair was taking so long. At one point, both jobs were at 75% paid, and they were all but refusing to finish the job unless we gave them more money. We ended up giving in because we were desperate to get the kitchen finished, and in the end, we still had to have the cabinet company finish the job. Ultimately the complaints were settled satisfactorily through the licensing board, but it caused an incredible amount of stress, extra work for ourselves we shouldn’t have had to do, an unbelievable amount of extra money that destroyed our budget within the first 6 months, so we had to continue paying in installments to accommodate being under construction for so long and being without a functional kitchen for well over a year.
